    Event Description:

    Capital Metro and the Austin LGBT Chamber invite you for a free transit trip downtown to enjoy the exhibits with fellow chamber members! We'll ride the bus together so you can spend more time enjoying the Blanton Museum and less time circling UT looking for parking.

    5:30 PM | CHECK-IN | Join us at Triangle Station - Southbound to get a free Capital Metro Day Pass and to get ready to roll! Coming by car? No problem. Use the Triangle Park & Ride for free!

    5:40 PM | CATCH CAP METRO | Triangle Station - Southbound (Stop #484) | #801 MetroRapid | 5:40pm / 5:55pm / 6:10pm -- every 15 minutes, 7 days a week!

    6:00 PM | BLANTON MUSEUM OF ART | Grab your family and friends for a free night time celebration of art, music and community, featuring current exhibitions: Lily Cox-Richard: She-Wolf + Lower FigsCharles White: Celebrating the Gordon GiftJoiri Minaya: Labadee and special pop-up exhibitions, meant to add to the Third Thursday festivities:

    • Good Enough to Eat | Come feast your eyes on works of art that illustrate exactly that – feasts! From scrumptious still lifes, to intriguing dinner guests, to bustling kitchens, this pop-up will celebrate the multitude of ways in which artists have represented all that is edible.
    • Music at the Blanton: Nathan Felix | Austin-based composer, Nathan Felix will present a live and immersive opera featuring newly composed music and libretto inspired by “Medieval Monsters: Terrors, Aliens, Wonders.” Follow opera singers as they move within the gallery and amongst museumgoers to create an immersive, surround-sound experience at the Blanton.

    Museum admission is always free on Thursdays. On the third Thursday of each month, the museum remains open until 9 pm.

    RETURN TRIP | Head back to The Triangle whenever you like! Simply walk around the block to Museum Station - Northbound (Stop #4657):

    • #801 MetroRapid | 6:37pm / 6:52pm / 7:07pm / 7:22pm / 7:37pm / 7:52pm / 8:07pm / 8:27pm / 8:47pm / 9:07pm... until 3:07am!

    Capital Metro staff can help you end your tour earlier (or later) and will help you locate the Museum Station (NB) during your trip to the Blanton.
