UPDATED INFORMATION FOR THE FOURTH ANNUAL PRIDE IN LOCAL MUSIC FESTIVAL & BLOCK PARTY

Austin LGBT Chamber Of Commerce's Pride In Local Music announces new information, including new door time, updated lineup and a visit from the Mayor

(AUSTIN, TX) – This year’s Fourth Annual Pride In Local Music Festival is a vibrant downtown block party taking place on June 24th on 4th Street (between Colorado and Lavaca) with live music on multiple stages, an arts market and it all shines a spotlight on Austin’s LGBTQIA artists. Produced by the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and in partnership with the 4th Street businesses in our unofficial LGBTQ+ district, the team behind the event has new, updated information to share.

Admission is free with a suggested donation of $10, which benefits the Austin LGBT Chamber Education Fund. Doors for the event are now at 3pm, live music starts at 4pm, and we have made some additions there as well.

For those wanting to celebrate the Fourth Annual Pride in Local Music VIP style, tickets can be purchased here and at the Little Gay Shop booth onsite. VIP tickets gets you two VIP drink tickets, a free popcorn voucher from Alamo Drafthouse, access to VIP bathrooms, a commemorative event poster for the first 100 tickets sold (designed by award-winning artist, Billie Buck) and access to multiple elevated viewing areas, including rooftop at The Riley, upstairs at The Courtyard at Fourth & Co. and upstairs at Neon Grotto.

Local singer- songwriter Tina G kicks off the OUTlaw Pride Stage with the collaborative performance Queer Joy: An Act of Defiance, which segues into a singalong. Austin’s classical radio station KMFA will be hosting live music in the Pride Marketplace, the latter of which is brought to you by the beloved Little Gay Shop. The lineup has been scheduled so that event goers can go from stage to stage and sample musical performers and to keep things extra lively, both the PILM and OUTlaw Pride Fest stages will be emcee’d by KUTX’s Deidre Gott and Taylor Wallace as well as drag troupe favorites, Extragrams. Anyone can preview the lineup by listening to the Spotify playlist or OUTlaw Pride Fest booker Julie Nolen’s recent MY KUTX studio takeover.

Keep an eye out for other exciting surprises, including an afternoon visit from Mayor Kirk Watson.
