  • To develop a strong and talented LGBT workforce, LGBT employees must feel included in order to keep them engaged and motivated.  Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), also known as affinity groups, business resource groups or employee networks, are popular in many big companies today.  Many of these groups started out as networking groups to enhance professional development. Now companies realize the benefits as business partners.  Organizations are leveraging these groups to offer support from recruiting and retention, to new product development and marketing.

    The Austin LGBT Chamber work with employees and offer support and guidance when interested in creating an LGBT ERG.  We are also working with current LGBT ERGs in order to foster connection and networking between other LGBT ERGs in Central Texas.  Corporations that wish to join the Pride in Business Roundtable must join the Chamber at a Corporate Member level in order to qualify.
